I have to admit this is a big day for me. To actually post myself on video is crazy to me. I’m not sure if I like myself on camera. It’s just weird. I know it allows you to get to know me even better though so here it goes.
Kadi from Our Seven Seeds has a great question this week. “What Are 3 Things You Wish You Knew Before Before Becoming A Mom?” I thought about talking about a few funny ones but I took the more serious approach this time. I probably should have gone with the kind of funny/sarcastic ones. WHY? Because right after I uploaded my video to YouTube my 1 year old threw my Flip camera in the toilet. Apparently he thought I should stop any attempts at vlogging in the near future! I think the whole entire neighborhood heard me scream!
FYI – Apparently I like to talk. I know it should be a little shorter but unfortunately due to my camera being drenched in water I couldn’t record a shorter version.

Great first video, I love the topic and all your answers are so relatable, thanks for sharing

You are to kind! thank you Dresden!
Great video! Welcome to the VlogMom club.
I felt like I was talking to you over coffee about our families. I agreed with all three of your things, and so true that we wouldn’t really ‘get’ it until we became parents.

Thank you Kelly! Maybe one day we can actually chat over coffee.
I truly believe motherhood is totally a live and learn type of experience.
It always makes me wonder how many times my own mother hid in the bathroom! I so agree about having time for yourself. It is extremely important.

I dont remember my mother ever hiding in the bathroom! Time for yourself in a true necessity. Something many mothers don’t get enough of. It is healthy for your mind, body, and soul. It makes you a better wife and mother.
I think you did a great job on your first vlog! I like your lighting.
I’m so glad for the online community that encouraged me to take mommy time and helped me keep some of my own interests. Maybe a new mom will watch your vlog and learn it even faster.

How nice of you! Time to yourself is so important for a mother. It wasn’t something that came naturally to me. I use to feel so guilty. Now it makes me a better mother.
