Patience…Mental Notes For Mama

Motherhood will test your PATIENCE in every way, shape, and form.

I feel as though I am a pretty patient person.  With that being said, one of the biggest curve balls motherhood has thrown at me is my ability to remain patient.   A perfect example was yesterday.  The morning went well.  Everyone got up and dressed with no major issues.  Big B was of course in school all morning.  The younger two played nicely and the sweet baby I have been watching was great.
Then lunchtime came and  the storm began to roll in.  Big B came home and instantly began to pick at his younger brother.  Baby B started to turn into a grumpy bear.  Thankfully he went to bed and slept very well.  All was calm for a few hours and then the storm arrived in full force.  Big B was being quite fresh. (Big Surprise!)  He wanted to wake the baby up to play.  I love Big B but he gives me a run for my money.  He tests every ounce of patience I have.  That ended and on to the next.
Baby B woke up and was unhappy from the start.  Big B got him out of bed for me because I happened to be feeding the little baby.  From that moment on until he wen to bed 5 hours later he was either whining, crying, or clinging to my leg.  These are the days my patience is worn very very thin.
I want to yell, and sometimes do,
“Calgon Take Me Away!”  Bedtime and a glass or two of wine usually do the trick.

Mental Notes For Mama is a series where I share something I’ve learned and certainly don’t want to forget. It may be something new, funny, serious, or a tip I thought would be good to  share with the rest the mamas out there.  Because as always, we all are doing our best to survive the chaos of everyday life in the trenches of motherhood.

I feel the same way sometimes. Motherhood has definately tested my patience. A glass of wine will usually do the trick though :)

Bickering and whining is so tough to take sometimes. Wine can really take the edge off occasionally!

  4. Ugh. I feel your pain. I have a 15, 13, 7 and 1 year old. They wear me thin sometimes. Heck, if I weren't breastfeeding I'd have a glass or two or three of wine. :) Hang tight. You're not alone! Thanks for stopping by the other day. I'm slowly playing catch up. Following you via Google Friend Connect!Kristi, Live and Love…Out Loud@TweetingMama
