I LOVE LOVE LOVE shoes and handbags! I just don’t like to pay full price for them. I have a friend who swears by Marshalls and TJmaxx. It’s not that I don’t like the two stores, I just do the majority of my shopping online. I will say that I have been to both stores before and I was turned off my the overall look of the store. Many times it was a mess. It wasn’t clean and was completely unorganized. A NEW Marshalls just set up shop in a plaza less than five minutes from my neighborhood. I have to drive right by it every time I go to Target or Wegmans. How can I resist at least taking a look?! Well I have until this past Sunday. I had a casual wedding to attend. What to wear, what to wear? I had everything picked out, the dress, the jewelry, my makeup, and then all of a sudden I was in panic mode. Where were my go to pair of shoes? Wait a second, where the heck is my clutch that I swear I only use for weddings? I searched for about 20 minutes and I found nothing. I know, you ‘re probably thinking, “Come on you must have plenty more options.” Frankly, I hate to say I don’t. I have plenty of roomy handbags but only just a few smaller sized clutches. I’m working on that ladies!
Anyway a lightbulb went off and I said okay mama you have exactly forty five minutes to find a pair of shoes and a clutch for this wedding. Let’s go! Off to Marshalls I went. I was a mama on a mission. I went up and down just about every shoe aisle quickly skimming through all the fabulous shoes. Let’s just say, wedges, of all colors, are definitely in this spring/summer. I found two pair I loved but they did not have my size. Then I came across these shoes from Guess.
They had my size and they could definitely dress up a more casual look. Perfect! Off to the accessories. This clutch is the very first one I saw and I was sold. Again, perfect! I love the pattern and textured on the snake skin and it can go with so many different looks.
I think the people who were in Marshalls that day thought I was a crazy women. I was in and out in lightening speed time. I did all this and checked out in 20 minutes. I even stopped and looked a few other things quick but then realized I had to “Stay Focused.” After all I did have to attend a wedding in about 15 minutes. Are you wondering if I made it on time? Yes I did! I received many compliments on both items at the wedding. Where did I get them??? I explained to them that I am officially a Marshalls shopper. Why? I bought both the shoes and the clutch for under $55 versus the regular price which would have been $145!
I love finding a good deal and sharing it with the world. I’ve already convinced some non-believers to check Marshalls out. One of them stop over yesterday with not one, not two, not even three, but six pairs of shoes and a purse. Your welcome Marshalls. :) Maybe I should be on their list to be the next Marshalls spokeswoman!
