You’ve Been Egged

You've Been Egged

Have I said I LOVE Eighteen 25?!  Once again here is a fun printable that will make easter even more fun for the kids.

Head on over to Eighteen 25 to find out all the details on how to play a fun game with your neighbors.

Egg relay Race

In this Easter relay race, participants carry plastic egg with wooly balls inside on spoons.  There are several different ways you can play.
  • You can split the children into 5 teams.   Have the first child go to a mark and come back, then giving it to the next person.  First team finished WINS.
  • Egg Rolling (team)-  Again splitting the children into teams.  You can play the game inside or outside.   have a few obstacle courses to make it more difficult.  .You will also need a starting line and a finish line. Either put half at one end or make the race a little shorter and play the game as above with one exception.   Have them push the egg with their feet, or even get down on their hands and knees and push the egg with their noses. The first team who gets through all their player and crosses the finish line wins.  (I like the hands and knees part – so funny!)
  • Egg Toss-  Break each player into a team with a partner.  Put the players  into two rows so that partners are facing each other.  Everyone in the first row get an egg first.   They will toss the egg  to their partner.  Then each player will take a step back so that they are further away from each other. The second player will then toss their egg back.  If a team drops their egg, they are out of the game.  Repeat above until only one team hasn’t dropped their egg.
You can also choose to just use regular colored hard-boiled eggs and spoons.  If you choose this route there are few more game options.
  •  Egg Rolling (individual)- similar to the egg rolling Team) above but each player gets their own egg.  You can have a start line and finish line at the opposite end.  So switched of eggs takes place.  First individual player to cross finish line WINS!

Bunny Hop Race

You have a finish line and a start line.  Players line up in horizontal line.  Ready-Set-Hop.

First player to hop like a bunny to the finish line WINS.  Add obstacles to make in more difficult.

Bunny Hop Sack Race

Kids also love a good old-fashioned sack race. Just call it a bunny hop race and give each child burlap sack to hop in.

If you don’t have access to burlap, you can  just use pillowcases.  You can play the game in teams to add a little twist.

Easter Bunny Hop

Each child gets into a  burlap sack, holds on, and hops to the finish line.  You can play the game in teams too.

Check out how Mariah from Giggles Galore made a traditional sack race a little more fun with just a

few added details.  She also planned an easter egg hunt party with adorable decor!  Just scrolled down to see the sack race.  So cute.
